Always clean your wet vacuum after every use, so mold doesn't develop inside of the wet vacuum. The second type of vacuum that should be used is a HEPA Vacuum. A HEPA vacuum should be use after all mold cleaning and removal is finished. The air must pass through the filter, which cleans the air of the mold spores. Proper protective gear must always be worn when changing the filter in a HEPA Vacuum. After every used the filter should be disposed of in an air tight container.
Cleaning with Biocides to Remove Mold
Biocides can also be used in Mold Cleaning and Removal, but use caution when handling biocides. They are toxic to people and animals alike. When using biocides make sure there is proper ventilation in the area. Only use fans to ventilate, when you are sure that all mold has been removed, or this will only spread the mold spores. There are many types of biocides, and many are consider pesticides. Make sure your states laws allow you to use such chemicals. Fungicides are meant for outdoor use. They should never be used indoors for Mold Cleaning and Removal. If you decide to use biocides, wear the correct protective clothes and in certain cases wear a respirator.
